The magnificent grizzly bear is one of the top attractions for tourist in northwestern Wyoming. We have an amazing adventure ready for the entire family! Shoshone Lodge Outfitters, your Wyoming adventure specialists, are located between Cody, WY and Yellowstone National Park.
Our grizzly bear sight-seeing trip is a wilderness pack trip & wildlife photography pack trip designed to find and watch grizzly bears in mid July and August in what are called Grizzly bear "moth sights". These sights are located in high mountain basins around 10 to 12 thousand feet in elevation.
One of these moth sights is located in Grinnell valley directly behind Shoshone Lodge. We have a nice base camp located in Grinnell creek and can get to the grizzly moth sight from that camp. To do this trip right, get to see a lot of bears, and enjoy the back country we recommend a minimum of 3 days and would highly recommend at least a 5 day trip.
We will have binoculars and high powered spotting scopes to get a great look at all of these grizzly bears. There have been numerous times on these trips where we have looked at 15 or more grizzlies at one time. Other Wyoming wildlife is also seen on this trip so please contact us about more information on this once-in-a-lifetime vacation.
